Beginner Course II (A 1.2)

Class Description

This level is for everyone who already knows some Polish. You should be able to introduce yourself, say where you come from and speak about your interests. You should further know adjectives to describe people and things and know how to conjugate regular verbs in the present tense. In this level, we will first learn how to speak about hobbies and sports as well as how to ask questions you need to go shopping at a mall or grocery store. This includes learning phrases to talk about food and the vocabulary for fruits, vegetables and dishes. We will further learn the negation, how to express preferences and ownership (possessive pronouns: mój, twój, etc.) as well as the numbers up to 1000. If you're looking for a nighttime class (US time), please have a look at our A 1.2-course on Fridays. We have very small class sizes with a maximum of 5 students per class. That way, we ensure that all course participants receive a lot of one-on-one attention, so the class can be tailored to our students' needs. This enables our students to learn the language very fast and efficiently. We pursue a conversational approach in all our classes to get our students to speak the language confidently as quickly as possible. When learning a language, it is crucial to actually practice speaking the language to be prepared for conversations in real life situations. This can be achieved best in an intimate class setting with few students as each student benefits from having lots of time to speak in class. The course fee of $279 covers all the costs - 10 classes à 1.5 hours, the coursebook and the registration fee. We offer an Early Bird Discount of $50 for everyone signing up by Sunday, January 3. Students currently enrolled at a college or university can use the Coupon Code STUDENTS to receive a 30%-discount when signing up by January 3, and a 20%-discount after that. We will request proof from everyone using the code. All online language courses are held via Zoom and we would ask you to install the Zoom desktop app before the class. You will receive the link within 24 hours before the course starts. After successfully completing the class, we offer to provide a certificate of completion upon request. We are committed to offering follow-up courses for all our students who wish to continue taking the next higher course level. Our courses always start in January, April, July and October.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel, please contact us at least 8 days before the class start to be eligible for a full refund. In most cases, it will not be possible to receive a refund or credit after that. To be able to keep our class sizes small and course fees low, we need our customers to stick to their reservation.
