Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any hidden costs?
No, the course fee of $279 for a regular course and $249 for a conversation course covers all the costs. EUS provides all course materials that you can download for free.
What happens after signing up?
You will receive a confirmation email directly after signing up. Within 24 hours before your course starts, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and the coursebook for your level that you may download.
What exactly happens in class?
Our classes are structured similarly to regular in-person classes: You will meet face-to-face with your teacher and other classmates; our teacher will explain grammatical concepts and lead real-life conversations with all course participants. We use a coursebook, our teacher will write things onto the Zoom whiteboard, we might read some short articles together, and you will be able to access and download everything. We encourage you to participate as much as possible in class to practice speaking. Our classes provide a safe space for you to practice speaking so that you will be perfectly prepared for real-life conversations. All course participants are taking class to learn the language, so everyone will make mistakes, and that's okay! The teacher will be there to correct you, to help you improve and to answer any question you might have. At the end of the class, your teacher will assign you some homework to practice what was learned during the class session. The class will not be graded and we understand that everyone also has other commitments in life, but we ask all our students to complete the homework and to stay focused in class to guarantee the most efficient learning process for yourself and your classmates.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you let us or your teacher know before the class that you will not be able to attend, we will (with the permission of the other course participants) tape the class and send you the recording after, so you will not miss anything.
What software and hardware do I need?
We ask all our students to download the Zoom desktop client here: https://zoom.us/download. This will enable you to receive files during class in case a teacher wants to send some additional material.
Are the courses for adults only?
If not advertised differently, we have a minimum age requirement of 16. We do occasionally offer courses for childrens from 8-10 years, 10-12 years or 13-15 years, however, the age group is specified. If you should be looking for a class that's currently not offered, please do not hesitate to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always open to add further classes.
I am not sure what level I am. What do I do?
If you are unsure about your level, please send an email to email@example.com and we will be happy to help you find the best fit for you. If you should realize after the first class that the level is too low or too high for you, it is possible to switch to another level from the second week.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at . We are looking forward to hearing from you!
