Dutch Beginner Course (A 1.1)

Class Description

This level is for anyone who has never spoken Dutch or for someone who has learned some Dutch a long time ago. For this course, you don't have to prepare anything, we will start from scratch. You will learn all the basics: greetings, introducing yourself, numbers, the days of the week and how to say where you come from. We will learn most pronunciation rules and how to conjugate verbs in the present tense and how to negate a sentence. Finally, you will also start learning how to speak about your family, sports and other activities and how to write a short email. We have very small class sizes with a maximum of 6 students per class. That way, we ensure that all course participants receive a lot of one-on-one attention, so the class can be tailored to our students' needs. This enables our students to learn the language very fast and efficiently. We pursue a conversational approach in all our classes to get our students to speak the language confidently as quickly as possible. When learning a language, it is crucial to actually practice speaking the language to be prepared for conversations in real life situations. This can be achieved best in an intimate class setting with few students as every student benefits from having lots of time to speak in class. The course fee of $299 covers all the costs - 10 classes à 1.5 hours, the coursebook and the registration fee. We offer an Early Bird Discount of $50 for everyone signing up by September 20. We will request proof from everyone using the code. All online language courses are held via Zoom and we would ask you to install the Zoom desktop app before the class. You will receive the link within 24 hours before the course starts. After successfully completing the class, we offer to provide a certificate of completion upon request. We are committed to offering follow-up courses for all our students who wish to continue taking the next higher course level. Our courses always start in January, April, July and October.
