French Intermediate Level (B 1.1)

Class Description

To register for this level, you should be confident using the present and past tense (passé composé, imparfait and plus-que-parfait), the futur simple and the conditionnel présent. You should further be familiar with the subjonctif, the passive and the gérondif. In this level, we will keep practicing the subjonctif and the conditionnel. We will focus on achieving a greater level of fluency and pracitce all the grammatical structures we have learned. We will learn how to speak on the phone, how to talk about administrative tasks such as organizing big events like a wedding, debating in both personal and professional contexts , describing symptoms of a disease and speaking about cultural differences. We have very small class sizes with a maximum of 5 students per class. That way, we ensure that all course participants receive a lot of one-on-one attention, so the class can be tailored to our students' needs. This enables our students to learn the language very fast and efficiently. We pursue a conversational approach in all our classes to get our students to speak the language confidently as quickly as possible. When learning a language, it is crucial to actually practice speaking the language to be prepared for conversations in real life situations. This can be achieved best in an intimate class setting with few students as every student benefits from having lots of time to speak in class. The course fee of $279 covers all the costs - 10 classes à 1.5 hours and the registration fee. The course can be booked from different time zones. The class times stated are Eastern Time (NYC, Miami) - in France, the class time would be from 7:00pm to 8:30p.m. We offer an Early Bird Discount of $50 (USD) for everyone signing up by April 20. We will request proof when using the code. All online language courses are held via Zoom and we would ask you to install the Zoom desktop app before the class. You will receive the link within 24 hours before the course starts. We are committed to offering follow-up courses for all our students who wish to continue taking class. Our courses always start in January, April and October.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel, please contact us at least 8 days before the class start to be eligible for a full refund. In most cases, it will not be possible to receive a refund or credit after that. To be able to keep our class sizes small and course fees low, we need our customers to stick to their reservation.
