Spanish Adv. Beginner Course I (A 2.1)

Class Description

This level is for everyone who can already describe others, talk about everyday topics, including personal routines, tell short stories and provide commentary on their favorite places, objects or people. In order to start off on the right foot, you should also know basic vocabulary (colors, body parts, common adjectives, verbs etc.) and feel confident conjugating regular and irregular verbs in the present tense, as well as using them in sentences and you should have been introduced to the past tense. In this course, we will continue learning the past tense. You will learn the pretérito perfecto while speaking about personal experiences. We will further practice speaking about celebrities and biographies, cultural differences and customs, and characteristics in people. Be ready to shake off the shyness and start talking as we will spend quite some time on speaking practice, focusing on describing emotions and on customary situations like being at a restaurant or going shopping. We have very small class sizes with a max. of 5 students per class. That way, we ensure that all course participants receive a lot of one-on-one attention, so the class can be tailored to our students' needs. This enables our students to learn the language very fast and efficiently. We pursue a conversational approach in all our classes to get our students to speak the language confidently as quickly as possible. When learning a language, it is crucial to actually practice speaking the language to be prepared for conversations in real life situations. This can be achieved best in an intimate class setting with few students as each student benefits from having lots of time to speak in class. The course fee of $299 covers all the costs - 10 classes à 1.5 hours, the coursebook and the registration fee. Everyone signing up by January 3 will get a $50-discount when using the coupon code EARLYBIRD. Students currently enrolled at a college or university can use the Coupon Code STUDENTS to receive a 20%-discount after that. We will request proof from everyone using the code. All online language courses are held via Zoom and we ask you to install the Zoom desktop app before the class. You will receive the link within 24 hours before the course starts. Our courses always start in January, April, July and October, so you will be able to take the next higher level in one of the following semesters.

Cancelation Policy

To cancel, please contact us at least 8 days before the class start to be eligible for a full refund. In most cases, it will not be possible to receive a refund or credit after that. To be able to keep our class sizes small and course fees low, we need our customers to stick to their reservation.
